Invité au Festival du Film International de Saint-Pétersbourg, Wentworth Miller a fait son coming-out tout en déclinant l'offre sur le site LGBT GLAAD. Le héros de la série Prison Break ne pouvait pas y aller en ayant "la conscience tranquille" en raison de la législation homophobe en Russie. En sortant du placard, l'acteur (également scénariste, il a écrit Stoker de Chan-wook Park) en a certainement fait pleurer plus d'une quand d'autres ont accueilli la nouvelle sans grand étonnement. Les stars ont, elles, félicité l'acteur. Matt Bomer, le beau héros de la série FBI : Duo très spécial, a déclaré lors d'une interview donnée à E! News : "Wow, Je pense c'est la manière dont il fait son coming-out est vraiment courageuse et classe. Je suis vraiment fier de lui. C'est révélateur de son incroyable caractère".
